After marrying she settled in lower Wensleydale where she began her cheese dairy which produced the well-known cheese King Richard III.
Always harbouring a desire to write fiction, when her sons finished school and started university, she followed suite; obtaining an MA in Creative Writing six years ago. No Mans Moor (her first book) was started as part of her degree, and 6 years later is has been completed. Its sequel, Worlds End, is written and will be published later in 2023.
Currently Suzanne is working on a novel about the life of Dorothy Pattison, the ground-breaking 19th century nurse, more popularly known as Sister Dora.
Suzanne lives in North Yorkshire with her husband and has two grown-up sons. She enjoys reading a wide range of material from historical fiction, thrillers to literary classics (see top reads).
